“It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.” - Cutter John (Bloom County)
I have been collecting information on my ancestors since 1977. It is here that I attempt as best I can to present who they were, and hope they are rediscovered and remembered.
i have designed this site for low maintenance as I am more interested in accurately detailing the lives of these people then I am designing a website.
There are two aspects of the information here: basically a database with vital information, facts, and notes. But there is also within - and without - the presented database freeform biographies as I feel confident to tell, photographs, documents, letters and other artifacts that convey stories. Links are provided to grave memorials where i have found them.
There are two versions of the database. The first is public access where profile photos are available and sources are cited. The other is password controlled and you have to contact me for access. In this database are all photos I have scanned and images of all sources linked to the citations.
I haave a blog that I infrequently write in. It allows me to freely discuss any topic of interest to me, including non-family research I may have done. I am not a great writer, but I do like to tell stories.
Feel free to meander through the site. Read images of old letters. Browse through scrapbooks and other documents I may post. You can emmerse yourself into the times my relatives lived. I add content when I can, and I have added page time stamps to show when revised.
Please feel free to contact me. Although I still have a heavy working career, I answer correspondance as fast as I can.
In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot. - Mark Twain
